 What Makes You a Christian?

Are you a Christian?

Do you know what it means to be a Christian?

And if you think you are, how do you know it for sure?

Are you following Jesus Christ’s biblical teachings?

Or do you “pick and choose” from the Bible the ones you like and delete the ones you don’t like?

Do you feel that sometimes “Church Traditions” get in the way of “brotherly” love?

If you are a Christian, where are you in your walk with Christ, like a child, a teenager or a young adult as far as learning?

Lots of questions but I am wondering what you think?    Please share your thoughts with me.

Marriage in Heaven - What does the Bible say?

Is there “marriage” in heaven?   What does the Bible say about it?

I think everyone knows the marriage vows say: “until death do we part.”  I wonder why it is until death do we part – Have you ever thought about that – until death…

Ok let’s go to the bible and the Book of Luke.  In Chapter 20 – verse 28 and it says:

“Teacher,”  they said, “Moses wrote for us that if a man’s brother dies and leaves a wife but not children, the man must marry the widow and have children for his brother. (29)  Now there were seven brothers.  The first one married a woman and died childless.  (30) The second and (31) then the third married her, and in the same way the seven died, leaving no children.  (32)  Finally, the woman died too. (33)  Now then, at the resurrection whose wife will she be, since the seven were married to her?”

(34) Jesus replied, “The people of this age marry and are given in marriage. (35) But those who are considered worthy of taking part in that age and in the resurrection from the dead will neither marry nor be given in marriage.  (36)  and they can no longer die; for they are like the angels.  They are God’s children, since they are children of the resurrection.

Did you get that in verse (35)  neither marry nor be give in marriage.

That seems pretty plain:  The Bible says no marriage in heaven.  If you stop and think, marriage was designed for companionship.  We will know everybody, love everybody and have God to praise eternally.

As it says in Rev.  21:4  “He will wipe every tear from their eyes.  There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”

I mean how great is that – We will all be together with God forever! It's great to be a Christian and know God's Word. If Jesus says NO MARRIAGES IN HEAVEN - Then there is NO NEED FOR MARRIAGES IN HEAVEN.

A Good message deserves Repeating - Again

MORMONISM IS NOT CHRISTIANITY - ACCORDING TO THE BIBLE. This message has gotten so much talk elsewhere that I couldn't help but repeat it again - just in case you missed it the first time.

This is a list of some things that are taught in the LDS Church that are not found in the Bible.  Mormonism or The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, have every right to be LDS/Mormon by their choice.

I want you to know that if you chose to be a Mormon, that you are choosing a religion that is not Christian.  I once was a Mormon – Here are some of their teachings. Beside not believing in the Trinity - they believe that there are three (3) separate gods in their godhead not one God as the Bible states in three persons.

If this is what your after – here are some other things you will be taught.

1.     God is an exalted man of Flesh and Bone and worked his way up to godhood.

2.     He and his wives populated earth with their offspring.

3.     His offspring worship him because they are his spirit children.

4.     Man, and only man, can also become a god and attain the same as the gods did before him.

5.     There are as many gods in the heaven as stars in the sky.

6.     Women, who become the wives of gods – are most often pregnant forever, populating their husbands' planet.

7.     Temples are for doing “works” such as Baptizing for the Dead – Sealing for eternity husbands and wives together in marriage and sealing families together to have their homes in heaven.  Continually speaking with dead spirits, whom they believe are past friend and relatives, who want this ‘work’ done for them by proxy (stand-ins) at the temple.  Secret garments they wear are given to each that protects them from their adversaries.

8.     Joseph Smith, (not Jesus) will call the men of the church out of their graves by the secret names they are given in the Temple.

9.     The Men of the church will then (if they want to) call each wife from the grave by their Temple given secret name, they may have more than one – (they marry by proxy also – plural wives are now attained by marrying spiritually in the future for the afterlife) - Living wives fight over who is going to be First wife called – she is the head wife and given more prestige.

10.  Joseph Smith will judge his Mormons first – even before Jesus judges at the end times.

As you can see – I could go on and on but just these facts should make you think a little.   In fact – I hope you think a lot.  Your eternal soul depends on it.  You can be a Mormon – But know it is not Christianity or Biblical.    It makes a big difference to the God of the Bible  - -  How about you?
