Carpe diem translated is “seize the day” – Remember “Dead Poets Society” – a picture staring Robin Williams? – All about being everything you can be and making a difference.

 

A scene from that movie was played at my church today and it brought to mind all the wasted days a person can have if they go through each day complaining and not looking to see the joy put right in front of them.  Be the best you can be.

 

We can choose to get up each and every morning in a bad mood “oh I sure got up on the wrong side of the bed.”   Then again, we can thank our maker and say “Lord, thank you for another day to make a difference in my life and some one elses life.”  If you knew that tomorrow was the last day you had on this earth, what would you do?   Think about that?

 

Carpe diem – “seize the day” – What will you choose and what are you going to do with your day?

Has that idea crossed your mind or are you one of the “lucky” ones who live each and everyday to the fullest?  You never know – this could be your last day –

           “seize the day”..

Today I just want to give a big THANK YOU to Lucy on the Blog Stream and to all of you for making me feel so welcome and at home.

I also want to dedicate today’s posting to “Miss Lucy”  (the other white meat) for her kindness in helping me yesterday with the new look of my site.  Did you notice the new background color – well this is just the beginning because she gave me some “inside” tips on different websites to use.  What a sincerely kind thing for her to do by offering her time to help “little old me.”  And trust me, I didn’t learn this fast so it took A LOT of her time.  I could hear her kids in the background, on the phone, whispering, “You mean she still doesn’t get it?”  Good grief -…..      (oh, just kidding)

 

Now, I don’t think I will ever get this site to look as good and professional as Lucy’s – but with a Mentor as great as she – Who knows what can happen!  I too could be producing films by the year 2010/

 

Fab-u-los-o job Lucy.  I also want to thank everyone else that I have talked to because you have all in your own way become a blessing to my life and I appreciate every kind word you have said.  For those of you who were “snots” – that' ok to – because you were snots pretty quick and I received some great learning lessons from you.  I thank God each and everyday for putting you into my life here on the blog stream. 

 

So, Prisoner of Hope, Scratch, Colonnect, Polor Bear,  PuriChristos, Thomisticguy, Theophileous, Indy, Evermoredazed, Sharman, BethAnne, Stealth, Daisy, Grampa John, Heartofgold and so many more of you –--I thank you – and praise you all for the impact you have made in my life. 

Today is a day that the Lord has made – Rejoice and be glad in it.

 

Today is my husband Don’s birthday – and I am rejoicing that God Almighty has put him into my life and for all the joy he has brought me since we met 24+ years ago.  My God knows my needs and all my little “quirks” yet He still loves me enough to provide the perfect man.  He is as “quirky” as me but he does everything with more “pizzazz” and flare.  We talk, laugh, love and share our life’s dreams together.

May God grant you the desires of your heart

Hooray for Dustin today was his first day of work at his new job!  He has also began the first of three (3) hour night courses, per week, at Adult Education, to increase his knowledge of English and Math because he knows those are his weak subjects.

 

I am so proud of him for his “step up to the plate” attitude and all the positive thinking that he is doing. 

 

Today – Dustin is my hero and I couldn’t be more proud of him.  He has jumped into everything and backed away from nothing that we have put in front of him.   With all the obstacles that he has faced – he seems to be afraid of nothing – somewhere he must have his “superman” cape hidden.  I think it has a big “G” on it and not a little “s” because everything we have done has had God’s approval stamped and certified – Gold.

 

Thank each and every one of you for all your prayers and words of encouragement.  Your love has warmed our hearts and Dustin can't believe that you would care some much for him, when you have never met him, to take the time to let him know.  God bless you all for showing God's love.
