Looking for Truth

 A Little Piece of Heaven

I must admit that anyone who doesn’t live in California is missing a beautiful day.  It is 79 degrees with a slight breeze, the sun is shining and the sky is crystal blue.

Thank you Lord for Your blessings on me today and all the plans You have for me to flourish.   I feel Your presents and the warmth of Your love and thanks for a glimpse of how heaven must be. How's it looking your way?

 Lost Sheep - Still Weep

Some days you just have to let it go!   I have been faithful in God’s plan and I have released my grip on things.  They didn't turn out like I had hoped, but they are as God had planned.  I am totally in free fall and God is calling the game and keeping score.

Dustin was arrested yesterday.  The charges were “grand thief auto” and receiving stolen property.  He had wrecked his car and within two blocks stole a new car to get to where ever he wanted to go, I must assume.  He was arrested at his new apartment, which his “Gramma” got him without incident.  All his possessions are back at my place for her to pick up this week.

This breaks his probation deal to say the least.  I don’t know what he will receive as punishment, but I am going to assume 4 to 10 years in prison as a beginner.  Either way, he is in a great deal of trouble.  I am not sure he was looking for this, but he sure found trouble.

When you run “amuck” and God has to do something serious to get your attention, it usually is quite mind blowing.  Trust me He does that sort of thing because He will get your attention, one way or the other.    It is kind of like the old saying,  You can run, but You can’t hide.”

I have always be amazed at people who think that just because they are in hiding – God won’t know what they do.  He sees what you’re doing – even in the dark!   Now that’s funny – but so true.  That reminds me of a song, if I can be so bold that goes like this (even in this sad circumstance humor is a good thing):

“He knows when you are sleeping

He knows when you’re awake

He knows when you’ve been good or bad

So be good for goodness sake -

Oh you better watch out – you better not pout – you better no cry

I’m telling you why…..”

IT’ AIN’T “Santa”  WHOSE WATCHING – BUT GOD --- Any questions? Watch over all of us Father God, I pray during these sad times. MySpace Layouts

When Helping Too Much - Hurts

Dustin is on the RUN – Yes that is correct – His where about is unknown.  Here is the rest of the story.

His Grandmother took control of him a week and a half ago after his first court date.  She and he both saying our rules were too ruff for him and he would rather live with her or alone.  Unfortunately the Judge had given him probation here in California because of his promise to live with us – so that threw a barb into him going to Utah with his “Grandma.”   So what do they do, they go through Sacramento and pick up his little girl friend so that they can have a “catch up” weekend together.  Grandma paid for this and took them to the hotel.  Then she even set Dustin up in an apartment with all he needed including furniture and bought him a CAR.  (This was against our wishes, both on a moral issue and we don’t believe in freely handing a person something they haven’t earned.)

She (my Mother) and I had words over this because I was convinced she had, as usual, set him up for failure and again just “gave” him what he wanted.  This is what has been his lifestyle of either getting or steal – but not working for it.    Our rules were that he, Dustin, would have to earn what he had and we would teach him how to budget to accomplish that fact.  He has always lived by “instant gratification” and has never worked in his life.  He did go to work for my husband, and was a strong worker – but as I told my Mother –“Why should he continue to work, when you just give him what he wants?”  Anyway…

Less than a week into this game of Grandma being in control and buying him everything he wanted and putting in debt over what he makes – he stole her wallet and all her money and cards, took the TV and the VCR and took off in the car she bought him.  He has not shown up for work in 2 days and I am assuming back to his old habits of “drugging and drinking” and on the “lamb” somewhere.  He is dealing with things as he always has by running.  The problem is that he risks his probation, which he has actually already blown, and prison time when he gets caught, if he doesn’t stop immediately before he is found out.  I say found out because my Mother has not even turned it over to the police because she doesn’t want them to know – yet.

There is nothing we can help him with as he/she took us out of the picture.  All I can say now and request is that if you have any extra time or desire, please pray for Dustin as he is in the grip of Satan, as I type this.  Self-destruction seems to be his game and so far he is running straight into disaster.  God help him – I pray as he continues with "one more time around the mountain."  Also, God help my Mother in her guilt that she is trying to blame on other people so that she again doesn’t have to face the fact that she is an equal cause for his actions.   God help them both and please, Father give them and extra dose of Grace and Mercy – they will need it.  Amen

It Ain't Easy but Whoever Said it Would Be?

Relationships

How are they working for you?  Maybe you should try some of the following:

Humble yourself and serve somebody and you will always make a friend.

Just like the “Golden Rule” says, “Do unto others what you would have them do to you.”

Remember – everybody likes to be served but “nobody” likes to be considered a Servant.

Saying “please and thank you” will cause most people to smile from their heart.

“Give more than you take” and people will always make you feel welcomed.

If you want to be “right” all time – You’ll find that you’re “wrong” more often than not.

The main relationship to follow and learn from is your relationship with Jesus.

Follow Jesus and do what He would do and then you will be RIGHT in all matters.

A wonderful speaker at church today said some of these things and it just brought to mind many of the things that Father God has brought to my heart just recently.  How's the Relationships in my life and how could I do better regarding some of them.  Do I even want to get better?   Sometimes I do and sometimes I don't.  Ever feel that way?   I know Lord, You know I'm not perfect but I'm still listening...   I'm still working on it... As hard as it is - I'm still not giving up.

When God Talks - I Listen

I woke up this morning feeling so blessed and happy to be alive.  I know God and I conversed last night while I slept, because I woke feeling so loved and ready for anything.

So today I am just going to wait and see what my Lord has in store for me.  I am just open to the fact that whatever it is – it is just going to be wonderful.

You may ask how I know this, well, because I have FAITH that my Father will provide all I need and that HE loves me beyond my wildest imaginations.  He desires only the best for me and that is so Good.  I look forward Father to a beautiful day walking with You and listen to You tell me more about You.  I know your messenger could be a little butterfly or a hummingbird or a cool breeze, but whatever you choose – I will hear your message.  So keep talking to me Father,  I am listening…
