 More of Satan's lies

Satan:  Leader of the Pack

(Excerpt – Guide to God)

Satan was a created angel.  In fact, he was a high-ranking angel.  Because God is incapable of creating anything evil, we know that Satan was created without evil.  However, as with the other angels (as with humans), he was given a free will.  Here is the story:

Lucifer’s Fall from Heaven:  As a high-ranking angel, Satan’s name was Lucifer, (which means  “light-bearer”).  While one of God’s angels, he was an “anointed cherub” who was “full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty.”  He was perfect in the ways he was created.  But because of his beauty, he became arrogant and conceited.  He considered himself to be greater than God, and plotted to overthrow the heavenly throne.  Here is a list of his intentions (taken from Isaiah 14:12-14):

I will raise my throne above the stars of GodHe intended to rule over all that is in the heavens.

I will ascend above the tops of the cloudsHe desired the glory that belongs only to God.

I will make myself like the Most High – He wanted to occupy heaven as God’s equal.

As a result of his rebellion, Lucifer was cast out of heaven.  Along with him, God exiled from heaven all of the angels who plotted with him...

My point is this:  That fall from “heaven” is a “doozy” and I hope your footing is on more solid ground than Satan’s lies – because he has been telling the same old lies from the very beginning of time and it just isn’t going to work at the end times either.

Are you falling for Satan's lies or are you standing on the "solid ground" of Jesus?  Remember, it's your choice.

Successful Surgery on "INDY" - Dave

A Dave- “INDY” update:

Surgery is over and David is in ICU and doing great.  The doctors removed 2 cancerous tumors on his liver and the biopsy look as if  “All” was successfully removed.  He will remain in ICU for a couple of days so that he can be carefully monitored.

Laura said He is doing fine and I just want to PRAISE GOD for the successful surgery and this successful outcome.  I could say a lot more, but somethings just don't get better than this!

To EVERYONE -  my heartfelt thanks for your thoughts and good wishes for my friend and his family.  God is Good – All the time and I praise him for such wonderful blogstream friends. - Amen

 A Open PRAYER Request

A PRAYER REQUEST FOR ALL ON THE BLOGSTREAM

Imagine you have all the riches of the world and everything you could possibly want and then imagine you didn’t have your health or that your health was at risk?  Not just a little risk but for the 2nd time in your life a big risk and facing “cancer” surgery.  Have you ever thought about that – really?   Nothing would make a difference if you weren’t healthy enough to enjoy it and be with your loved ones while you did.

Well, I have a good friend who is facing this exact dilemma. He is standing toe to toes with the big “C” – that is cancer for the 2nd time within 2 years.  Trust me, this will make you take off the rose colored glasses and really start to put life’s values in perspective.

This week on Wednesday, September 20th my friend Dave is going to have surgery at California Pacific Medical Center, to remove a small tumor that was recently discovered in his liver.

In Dave’s words, “The doctors have determined that this is directly related to my original colon cancer and they want it out now. This is a very, very early find - I am truly blessed with a team of extremely anal doctors (no disrespect intended). My medical team is fantastic; they watch me like a hawk and are all over anything that even looks suspicious.

Dave just isn’t praying to God about his surgery, as he says, “I’m taking God with me into the operating room.”

So everybody – I would like to request prayers from all of you who pray and for those of you who are not pray people, maybe just a moment of silence and a good thought for Dave to come through this surgery on Wednesday and for a speedy and complete recovery.  He also requests that you keep his wife Laura and his young son Dewey in prayer as they will have to be there with him for about a week and could use your combined support.

I told Dave and Laura that there are some wonderful people here on the blogstream and that I would send this out to each and everyone  - so guys – how about it?   When you think of Dave – these next few days please, say a little prayer for him and his family and leave a little note of encouragement – and I will make sure he sees it.  He has posted before and he goes by the name of “INDY” which is an acronym for “I’M NOT DEAD YET”

Dave, my prayer is that God cradles you in the palm of His hand this Wednesday, and that He guides your surgeon’s hands and thoughts.  Also, that He send you 10,000 angels to protect you and keep your family comforted throughout this ordeal.  In Jesus name – Amen

Ok Everyone – what do you say? (Dave will read all replys and thank you)
