 Christianity vs. Mormonism

You decide if this is Christianity?

LDS BELIEF:   The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormons) believe that GOD WAS ONCE A MAN

"God himself was one as we are now, and is an exalted man...I say, if you were to see him today, you would see him like a man in form...like yourselves in all the person, image, and very form as a man...He was once a man like us; yea, that God himself, the Father of us all, dwelt on an earth." Joseph Smith, History of the Church, Vol. 6, p. 305.

THE BIBLE says: God was never a man.  He created man! God has been God from all eternity to all eternity. (Psalm 41:13, 90:2, 102:25-27; Romans 1:22-23)

Can they both be Christianity if they “contradict each other?”  Just thought I would ask…

 Curious Minds Want to Know..

Hi Everybody

I want this to be an “OPEN LETTER” to everyone regarding something that has been bothering me of late.

It has come to my attention that several people here on the blog stream have different blogs.  How they find the time to invest into different blogs is a whole other subject… but what is bothering me is this fact…

Why are you guys that have 2 or more blogs “NOT identifying yourselves?”   I personally would like to know if I am talking to “Susie Q” on one blog that I am talking to “Susie Q” on another blog – even if she is calling herself “Bubba John.”  I mean – shouldn’t your profile show that you have another blog?

Is this bothering anybody but me?  I think we should let each other know so that no one is deceived regarding whom they are talking to – or is this some kind of blogstream game that I am just out of the loop about?  First off – I get that different topics may need different sites – I mean if they are really over the top – but then we have the  “split personalities” or the people who just like to “pretend” they are who they are NOT.  Now those are the ones that kind of creep me out.

So… Is it just me or do we need a “town meeting” on this stuff and all of us can take notes on “WHOSE WHO.”    I was just curious but then I have always been curious and I hate deception and as of this date I still can’t understand the need for it…So… is it just me or is it YOU too, that wants to know?

Friday the 13th - Lucky or Not?

Friday the 13th -  Lucky or UnLucky?

Anyone have a theory where the “woes” of Friday the 13th began or a story about something strange that happened on that day?  I would love to hear about it.

Why is it lucky?            Why is it Unlucky?

Either way – I hope you have a great weekend and that you depend on God for your luck and keep out of Satan’s way.

Ask - Seek - Knock and The Door Will Open

"Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.                                                                                          Matthew 7: 6-8

I have always loved this verse because it seemed to hold so much hope.  I was always a curious child and I asked a lot of questions.  For some people I asked too many questions, but I kept asking.  I began to read and search out the answers that I was not satisfied with or did not understand. I guess I was seeking and did not even realized it.  Then one day I decided to venture out of my comfort zone from where I had always been and I knocked on a new door.  I found a different type of church, with different types of believers, if you will, but definitely different from where I had been before.

It was there in this different church, a Christian church where something very strange happened to me.   One day during service the Pastor told me about another verse that said, Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if any man hears My voice, and opens the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. (kjv)   This verse sent chills up and down my spine and I felt alive for the first time in my life.  I understood that the Holy Spirit was talking to me although it had never happened before. – I knew instinctively within my being exactly what was happening -  And I was filled with Love from God.

That is when I realized I had Asked, Seeked and Jesus had Knocked on the door of my heart.  I opened it and let Him into my life as my Lord and Savior.

Ask, Seek and Knock  - great information for finding God.
