Looking for Truth

Prayers requested for my sister Dianna

Today my Sister is having gastric by-pass surgery.  This is not a surgery that she wanted, again.  I say again because 15 years ago she had her stomach stapled, and when complications began she had to have it done twice at that time.

Now 15 years later, due to complications, she must redo it once again.   Additional factors of this newest surgery are two (2) hernias that also must be repaired, due to her continual vomiting over the years.  All will be corrected today and she will be in the hospital from 5 to 7 days for recovery.

I am telling you all this because I am hoping that during your day today and during this next week you will say a prayer for my sister Dianna and for her hubby who will be at her side during all of this time.  This surgery will last about 4 hours and will be complicated due to the repairs needed.

I am a firm believer in prayer as I have seen it work so many times.  Dianna will need a few months of recovery time and I may be spending some time with her at her Reno home.  I was to go this week to be there with her, but luckily for her - her hubby got a medical leave and he will be at her side.   I will be there in spirit and I talked to her this morning and she is scared but ready to have these problems fixed once and for all.

I want to Thank you all ahead of time for supporting me in this family matter.  I know that she is in Gods hands and I have faith that He will be guiding the surgeon.   God bless you all and I hope you are enjoying this beautiful fall weather.

 Think before you Act

Bob, a handsome dude, walked into a sports bar around 9:58 PM.   He sat down next to a blonde at the bar and stared up at the TV.

The 10:00 PM news was coming on. The news crew was covering a story of a man on a ledge of a large building preparing to jump.

The blonde looked at Bob and said, "Do you think he'll jump?"

Bob says, "You know, I bet he'll jump."

The blonde replied, "Well, I bet he won't."

Bob placed a $20 bill on the bar and said, "You're on!"

Just as the blonde placed her money on the bar, the guy on the ledge
did a swan dive off the building, falling to his death.

The blonde was very upset, but willingly handed her $20 to Bob, saying,

"Fair's fair. Here's your money."

Bob replied, "I can't take your money, I saw this earlier on the 5 PM news and so I knew he would jump."

The blond replied, "I did too; but I didn't think he'd do it again."

Bob took the money..……………….

Some people have problems learning by their mistakes and repeat the same things in their lives over and over.   I like many others, call it by a named action “one more time around the mountain.” Because that is what you will do until God gets His message across.  That message – You can do it His way or you can take “one more trip around the mountain."  If you don't believe me - take a clue from the Israelites - they left Egypt on a 11 day walk to the promised land and it took 40 years - Yep -that's what God kept saying, "One more time around the mountain - folks, one more time."

Any questions?

 Get to know SammyJo

Hi Everybody -  (I have a good deed that you can help me with – ok?)

I would like to tell you about a new person I have met here on the blog stream.  Her name is SammyJo and her blog is called “Exhaling” and you can find her at -

 http://lostbabygirl.blogstream.com/

If you haven’t been there yet, check out her site, because she has been around since July.  I have so enjoyed talking with her and I really feel you will also.  She has such and open honest perspective on life and that in itself is refreshing.  I look forward to seeing her blog postings each day and reading her fresh take on things.  The humor she puts into her everyday circumstances comes straight from her heart and I have come to admire her so much.

We are a family unit here on the blog stream and we should support each other when a new member arrives.  She has been here for a couple of months but she hasn’t met most of you  - yet.    So when we see something that is extra special we should let the others know about it – and SammyJo is extra special.

Check it out and I will bet you will agree with me. So,if you would, please help me spread the word by dropping by and meeting SammyJo over at Exhaling

God bless you all - now go make a new friend.

This is What Love is all About

Today I am in such a romantic mood. I am remembering beautiful memories of Mr. Lookin’ and me together and how we have continued to be each others "Beloved" after all these years. We still have plenty of romantic moments but there are just some that stand out in my heart as extra special. These are the ones I am revisiting today.

So I could not help but say a little prayer and thank God for all he has blessed me with in my life. I also asked him to bless each and everyone of you with all the love I am feeling at this time.

This song embodies my feeling today and I could just imagine that our world would be so much better if we all loved this deeply.

What are you doing the rest of your life?
North and south and east and west of your life?
I have only one request of your life
That you spend it all with me.

All the seasons and the times of your days,
All the nickels and the dimes of your days.
Let the reasons and the rhymes of your days,
All begin and end with me.

I want to see your face,
In every kind of light,
In fields of gold and
Forests of the night;
And when you stand before
The candles on a cake.
Oh let me be the one to hear
The silent wish you make.

Those tomorrows waiting deep in your eyes
In the world of love you keep in your eyes,
Ill awaken what’s asleep in your eyes,
It may take a kiss or two.

Through all of my life,
Summer, winter, spring and fall of my life,
All I ever will recall of my life
Is all of my life with you.
