Looking for Truth

 Share the Love

SATURDAY UPDATE:  I just found out that my Son is flying in from PA - to join us next Saturday afternoon in Boise, so I am staying over until Sunday mid-morning and we are all going to be together for Sat. evening & Sun. morning - What a wonderful surprise, as Uncle Rob has never seen the twins yet - - Yahoo!  Praise God!

This Sunday I get to fly to Boise, Idaho and visit my three littlest grand daughters for a whole week.

The hardest thing about “motherhood” is watching your children grow up and move away from your home.  Even after years of adjusting to that fact – it still hurts that you miss them each and everyday that you can’t personally hug and kiss them good night.

At least that is how it is with me.  My hubby and I have 11 Grandkids.  That’s what happens when you put a blended family together as we did almost 24 years ago.  When we got married we each had a boy and a girl and their ages ranged from 12 to 18 – so we were 2 shy of the “Brady bunch” but there was still some mighty wild times.  Even though we weren’t the birth parents to each and every one of them – We have gotten to claim all the Grand Kids because we were here before any of them!  To all 11 of them we are Gramma and Grampa.

Families grow with love and caring and we had plenty of that in this house and as the “fruit of our efforts” flourished – we reaped the rewards of 11 wonderful Grand children ranging from 18 to almost 2.  The twin girls being the last of the group and everyone now swears that they are the “last” – for everybody.

So this next week I will not be on my blog much, but I will try to update some from there. So just remember that I will be thinking of you all and praying that you are having as much fun and I am and sharing as much love as I will be.  This Gramma is flying in with arms open wide and lips puckered up for extra kisses that I have been missing.  You tell me – what would you do when you see these little faces – except – smooch ‘em and smooch ‘em again!   God bless you all – now go love somebody!

 A Message from John

1) In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  2) He was with God in the beginning.

 3) Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.  4) In him was life, and that life was the light of men.  5) The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it.

6) There came a man who was sent from God; his name was John. 7) He came as a witness to testify concerning that light, so that through him all men might believe.  8)He himself was not the light; he came only as a witness to the light.  9) The true light that gives light to every man was coming into the world.

 10) He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him.  11) He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him.  12) Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— 13) children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband's will, but born of God.

 14) The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

                                                        (John 1: 1-14)

Did verse 1 grab you from the beginning and then did verse 14 just blow you away?  It did me the first time I read it and every time thereafter.   Think about that fact:  In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God and then… The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us.   Wow!    No wonder they say that Jesus was God incarnate.   Had you noticed that fact?

Doesn't that idea just blow your mind -  To think that the Creator of all things - "God" - left His throne in heaven to walk with us here on earth?

 The Value of Time

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.                           (Ecclesiastes. 3:1-8)

How valuable is the time in your life?  None of us know how much time we will have in this life.  I would say then, that the most valuable thing you can give a person is your time.

So, choose wisely my friends, whom you share your time with and how you will spend your time.  The moments of time wasted today may effect tomorrow and eternity. Live life full of love, hope, dreams and plenty of forgiveness and you will spend your time without regrets.

Peace - Love and Hope to All

Hello Everybody,

First off I want to thank the many people who have taken their precious time to post comments and prayers for my sister and her family.  I also adore the ones that included me in their prayers.

Secondly, I just want to say how much I am blessed to have met so many nice and caring people on this blog stream.  I didn’t really know what to expect when I first started posting here back in January – but I have been very surprised at the overall courtesy and kindness I have seen towards others and towards me.   Oh there have been a few whom I have seen upset over one thing or another – but very few and that is to be expected when there are differences of opinions.  Nobody is perfect, but it is nice to know some people are trying to be as nice as possible.

So this is just “me” – LookinforLucy,  taking the time to tell you before another busy day goes by that I really appreciate all of your heartfelt responses.  I also have enjoyed your individual blog postings and the unique talents they possess.  Although I haven’t personally posted on all of them, yet, I do intend to read as many as I can.  I just want you to know that I consider you my new “blog family” and I love you all – dearly.

May we all continue to grow in love for each other and stay committed to showing respect and human kindness to everyone we meet here on the blog stream.   That is my goal and I will try my utmost to strive to the best of my ability to accomplish.

May God bless us everyone with the ability to treat each other the way we want to be treated with Peace and love and hope…

 Thank You

(UpdateThurs. 10/26/06) Dianna came through the surgery yesterday even enduring 6 hrs. recovery time due to severe pain. They had to remove a lot of scar tissue but the doctor is pleased with the results overall. Her hubby says she is looking good but exhaused. She is in good spirits but won't let go of the "pain drip" she is hook into. She is smiling and thanking everyone for your prayers. God bless you all from the bottom of my heart. LookinforLucy
