Thank you all for your prayers and thoughts and kind words. For those of you who called I am eternally grateful for listening while I shared my aching heart. It is going to just take some time to heal.
(Update) After talking to the police the evidence appears to be a drug buy gone bad, not a "hit" although they will probably never know for sure. Reba recognized the three black dealers as trouble and yelled for the driver of the car to “move out now.” He did but not before they shot through the back side window. She was shot in the back of the head as they fled and was killed immediately. She did not suffer the officer said and he hoped that information would help. I found that it did and I was glad to hear that fact. They really do not have much to go on besides these facts. They do believe the driver of the car was just another “crack” buyer who happened to be driving the car and that he was telling the truth about the events he related. He and my Sister had been together that evening drinking at a local bar and just before 5 am had went to buy the drugs together. They will continue to look into other details but it is doubtful of a resolution. Death comes quickly and we never know when it will happen and although we have known for years that it could happen – No one is ever prepared for this type of loss.
I am doing ok – not good, not bad, just ok. I am trusting God and leaning on Him. Reba on the other hand, who is in heaven with God is doing even better. Thank you God for taking her swiftly.
