I am going to Reno to visit my Sister Dianna and her hubby this weekend.  This has been planned for sometime, since this is the Sister that just had her surgery last month.

Update:   She is doing very well and all your prayers have made a world of difference in her recovery.  It has been just over a month now and all her tubes and stitches have been removed.  She has already lost 20 pounds and is just getting back to eating, in small portions, regular food.

So please pray for a safe journey through the snow and that we will have a great visit.  This will be our first time together since our other Sister was killed and we do need this healing time and to enjoy each other with hugs and kisses.

Again – Have a great weekend and don’t forget the “Reason for the Season”.

 I love Smiling and Dancing

Some days you just got to smile and “go with the flow” … and this song always makes me smile.  I have been getting ready and shopping for Christmas.  Singing and dancing all the way down the isles. With a song in my heart - I talk and try to show "love" to every body and that's the way it should be - Right? Hey, it's Christmas.   It seems to make some people a bit nervous but that just makes me smile all the more.

I have been listening to so many songs and including all types of music in general.  But it doesn’t matter where I am or what I’m doing, I can’t help but smile - dance and “sing” with this one every time I hear it.

So - Have a wiggle on me and sing with me -   Won’t ya? (This is Toby Keith and his Daughter and I love it)

SOMEBODY HELP ME – I JUST CAN’T STOP…

Sweet Memories of Days Gone By

Well – tree is up and looking beautiful – so are the outside lights looking very festive.  The house looks like Santa should live here and we are pooped to the “max” with tiredness!

Amongst all the unpacking I discovered several items of interest that my Sister Reba had given me.  First there was the musical wooden rocking horse that is only 12 inches high and it has always gone by the Christmas tree, this year no different.   Then in the bedroom I have this little votive light that she made me along with a paper mache’ goose.  Reba was crafty and loved to make gifts by hand.  She also made me this “unicorn” candle that I have never burnt because it was so special.  She never had a lot of money to spend but she always made such wonderful things.  She was so talented and always left me little gifts, too numerous to mention – but her way of showing me love.   That was a pleasant surprise that flooded my memory banks with such loving memories that she put on my heart.  She is gone now – but not forgotten by a long shot.  A love like her doesn't die - ever.

This Christmas I can already tell is going to be a mixture of ups and downs of my emotions regarding people who have passed away.  Luckily for me – not too many regrets – except of those wishing I would have had more time with my Sister, Father and my precious Grandmother that I have always called “Mamo”.   Days gone by and never to be retrieved again but oh the sweet memories of their lives and loved shared.

There in lays my life lesson for today“Love the ones you’re with while you have a chance.”  You just never know if you will have tomorrow.

Hurry - Christmas is Coming -

Today is a day of Christmas lights being put up and making the yard outside look like I am preparing for the most special holiday of the year, because I am.

Tomorrow I will put up our tree and decorate the house to invite the Love of Christ into my home.  Oh I still believe in Santa… he is the gift giver and the “spirit” of Christmas, but Jesus Christ is the “soul giver” and our deliverer. The priority of my life stands with HIM first.  So Christmas time is a celebration of the Birth of Christ – then Santa, in this house.

I have a Spirit of Giving and I love Christmas.  If there ever were a North Pole and a magical land of elves – I would want to live there – as long as I could also remain and remember that first and foremost the “giver of everything” and the maker of all things possible is Jesus Christ.

So I am preparing to celebrate Christ birth first above everything else and then I am going to celebrate the Season of Giving with great Gusto – like always.  I will deck the hall and hang the mistletoe and hug and kiss my way throughout this month remembering that without My Lord and Savior Jesus – None of this would matter at all – but with HIM it is a Fantastic Celebration – and I can’t wait for it to begin – WOW…. I can have it all...

Santa's coming and I just can't wait - Break out the "Milk and Cookies" - Wow Wow Wow -

 The Trouble With Love IS...

The trouble with Love is … We can’t live without it and sometimes we don’t want to live with it.

Love can be cruel – I have witness that even here on the stream by many people who are hurting.

Love can be a blessing of heartfelt bliss – I have also witness that here on the “old blog stream”

With Love or without Love – I find with Love always better – even when we get hurt – we go back for more.

Ever think it is because we were created to Love – I do – I believe it with all my heart – We were created to Love.  By a God who is Love.

So even if you are hurting or have been hurt – Don’t give up on Love this upcoming Thanksgiving… Look – Love may be right around the corner – You never know – You just never know… As the songs says "You're sad but wiser too" - and you are. Be wise and love from your heart.

“Be thankful and Love Somebody” – And remember to Thank the One who created YOU…
