Looking for Truth

 Mitt Romney for PREZ

Now it’s official. Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney wants to become President Romney.   Do you know who he is or what he is about?

Besides running for President of the United States in the 2008 election, Mitt Romney holds the office of an ordained elder and high priest of Mormonism. He is also a Temple Mormon, having sworn blood oaths of obedience to the Prophet and leaders of Mormonism and is bound by oath to each and every doctrine of the faith.

Take 6 minutes of your life and watch this video.  Find out the basic teaching of his belief system, The Church of Jesus Christ / LDS, Mormonism and then decide if you think this person should run the your country.  Would you trust the future of your children and grandchildren to this person?

(Just a side note from a former LDS/Mormon, which I am, - This stuff is absolutely true from the mouth of Joseph Smith Jun. and what every faithful "temple mormon" knows and is directed to believe)

 Sincerely Insincere

Sincerely, insincere – just think about the parameters of that connotation.  Just how insincere have you sincerely been lately?

I have run into a rash of people who have no idea just how sincerely they sound yet by their body language or their eye contact, you know they have no thoughts or actions conveyed to their meaningless words.  Sincerely insincere – that’s what I call it.

For example “hey, how are you doing?” – (as they walk past you because they really don’t care about your response)

OR

“You look down today, is everything alright?” – (as they pan the faces in the crowd for someone else their waiting for that day)

OR

“Hey, I heard about the death or divorce or job layoff, let me know if there is anything I can do.” – (as they rush to be with one of their other “friends”)

OR -  "Hey, I will call you...  Or Let's do Lunch"   or...

So I ask you,

How insincere have you sincerely been lately?

 Happy Anniversary my Beloved

On February 14, 1983 I married the love of my life.  These past 24 years have flown by so rapidly it takes my breath away.  I always dreamed of a handsome "knight" riding in on a beautiful white steed to carry me away and make all my dreams come true.  I was told things like that only happened in "fairy tales" but it happened to me in real life.  The first time I looked into his eyes I fell in madly in love with him.   I love him more today than I did yesterday and less than I will tomorrow. Happy Anniversary Beloved. "You're the first, the last, my everything."

 Eyes and Ears Everywhere

(Someone sent this to AZRON and I thought it was real cute – so here goes.)

Regarding supervising the behavior of church people 24/7

Mildred, the church gossip, and self-appointed monitor of the church's morals, kept sticking her nose in to other people's business. Several members did not approve of her extra curricular activities, but feared her enough to maintain their silence. She made a mistake, however, when she accused George, a new member, of being an alcoholic after she saw his old pickup parked in front of the towns’ only bar one afternoon. She emphatically told George (and several others) that everyone seeing it there would know what he was doing.

George, a man of few words, stared at her for a moment and just turned and walked away.

He didn't explain, defend, or deny... he said nothing. Later that evening, George quietly parked his pickup in front of Mildred's house...walked home... and left it there all night.

You gotta love George!  -

Gossip – it can destroy more than you realize, including your TRUST for the one talking.

 Imitating Christ's Humility

Imitating Christ's Humility

 1) If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, 2) then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose.

3) Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. 4) Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.

 5) Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus:

Philippians 2: 1-5 (NIV)

Now that is some heavy “food for thought” – and easier said than done.  Our “humility” should be as Christ Jesus – I don’t know about you but I am sorely lacking when compared to how Jesus Christ would react to any situation.

They say “pride goes before the fall” – if that is the case – I am usually in “free-fall” without a net.  Thank God for the grace and mercy of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  Thank God indeed.
