Life is soooooo good - Hubby's retirement is better

Things are going so perfectly that all I can say is “I am so happy to be me”

Don’t worry – be happy – and I am.  I saw my Son yesterday – we had a lovely evening together, a great meal and some awesome conversations over dessert and wine.

God is so good – and He is just orchestrating this move beyond belief.  Everything we wanted to sell is sold – even our neighbors keep bringing over breakfast in the mornings and margaritas in the evening – Now how awesome is that?  I will surely miss their friendships.

We are ahead of the game and can’t believe that in a few weeks we will be living in Idaho.  One thing I can say for sure, is that I am glad the movers are packing us and all we have to do is be there when the van lines arrives.   I can’t wait to get there and play with the grandkids.  First on the agenda is taking them to the zoo to see the animals – they just adore seeing all the baby animals.  Those little girls (all 3 of them) love picnics and spending time with Gramma and Grandpa – Yahoo – it doesn’t get much better than that!

Anyway – to all of you whom I love and call friends – and you know who you are – I wish you an outstanding day full of love and joy.  Don’t forget to hug somebody and “smell the roses” – life is too sweet to miss anything.

 A Lovely Day

This is Tuesday (I think) – now that hubby is retired – we get confused because our old work schedule is no more – lol – Now there isn’t a Monday thru Friday work time frame and that has really been noticeable as to “what day is this?”

I’m all excited because my Son, who lives in PA, is coming into town tonight to stay over on his way to San Francisco on business.  He is the U.S. supervisor for his company and travels extensively.  So, for us - that means some fine bar-b-q cooking, some great wine and fresh triple melon salad for him and his California rep’ who will be traveling with him.  Of course Mama won’t have it any other way except that they spend the night here, not in a hotel.  Actually, my Son is so attached to this house that all we have heard is “You can’t sell this house, all my kids learned to swim in that pool” – he is the sentimental one in the family – lol    He does like the new house and luckily he is in Boise just as much as California – so our visits will still be frequent.

Oh yes, FYI – the garage sale was awesome.  We sold over $2100 in things, which included things we didn’t want and some furniture that we weren’t taking.  There is a bit more but all in all – we are happy campers with the results.  Now the big items like dining room and living room can be sold separately in the paper.  Who knows – there must be someone out there that can benefit from our moving and selling things real cheap- don’t ya think?

Anyway – thanks to all of you who sent prayers – they sure worked this past weekend – even though it hit temperatures of 110 on Saturday.  Yikes!

All things in escrow are coming along swimmingly at both end – the one we sold and the one we are buying so I trust God is still at the helm of our ship. – Amen –

God bless each and everyone of you and Have a wonderful week.

A Kindergarten's view on the subject.

A kindergarten class had a homework assignment to find out something exciting and share it with the class the next day.
When the time came to present what they'd found,
the first little boy the teacher called on walked up to the front of the class and with a piece of chalk, made a small white dot on the blackboard and sat back down.

Puzzled, the teacher asked him what it was.
'It's a period" he replied.
'I can see that,' said the teacher, 'but what is so exciting about a period?
The little boy replied "Darned if I know" he said, "but this morning my sister was missing one, my mom fainted, my dad had a heart attack, and the boy next door joined the Navy!"

 Our list has begun

Hi Guys,

This has been a crazy week.  Our house sold, in 26 days on the market and we received a full price offer.  We also purchased the home in Idaho that we had seen and wanted there.  This is a major move for us but we are so excited and can’t wait to be around the youngest of our 12 grand children.

So by the 14th of July – the movers will have us packed and our journey will begin.  It is going to be so different living in Idaho compared to California.  Especially here in the central San Joaquin Valley where agriculture is so prominent and fresh fruit is everywhere.  Of course we will be relieved of some “allergies” – as with all the blossoms – there are sneezing people walking around and on every corner.

We have fallen in love with the Boise, Idaho area and it being a high desert community, the climate is not that much different but the sky is bluer and the air smells so fresh.  The temperature ranges about 10 to 15 degrees colder in the winter, and 10 to 15 cooler in the summer.  There are four definite seasons.  Being the humidity is also low like here in the valley, the snow is very dry and not the sticky type.  It actually doesn’t snow much and melts quite quickly.  This compared to Eastern or Northern Idaho where it is there for the winter is a blessing for us as we are past the stage of wanting to shovel anything – lol.

So now we are thinking of all the things we need to throw away or sell and not take with us – these next 30 days are going to fly by faster than you and we can imagine – but I will try to keep you all informed.
