Did you participate Wed. night?Do you believe that together we can make a difference?I do and I did.
I sat and cried for the little children last night – it really pulled at my heartstrings – and it was intended to do just that.I so hope it worked for you also.To have an event that will help out so many here in the United States and in Africa is a major undertaking – but it can work – if we all help. If you go to their website at www.americanidol.com you can donate.
If you didn’t give last night – think about giving today.Together we can make a difference. Each donation will save a life – Just think about that impact of that statement. We can save lives – Just the idea of that is so awesome. How can we continue to turn our backs on the children in need?
I am not rich but I know I can do something to help, and I did.I have so much more than any of these children.
This is an example of someone who should have looked into the mirror before the phone call (see previous post) – but obviously didn’t.
I guess you actually do “Reap what you so”- Yikes! No wonder God warns us about the "tongue" being kept in control before it spews vicious garbage hidden in our hearts. At least someone is trying to help...
Tonight and tomorrow night Mr. Lookin and I will be celebrating a weekend of fun for his all class reunion. This is not only a class reunion but his 47th class reunion, and everyone of them is eligible for Social Security! There will be golfing, eating, and dancing and drinking and drinking and tons of old memories shared. We will be doing some heavy PAR-TAYing, to say the least.
This is so special because you see Mr. Lookin comes from a little town where everybody knew everybody – and most of the kid’s fathers worked for the same company – Standard Oil.The school was so small that their will be five classes there tonight from 1959 – 1964 and they will all know each other in some way or another.
Now the kids from Mr. Lookin’s class went to school together from kindergarten through high school and some on to junior college. So to say the least, they are a tight knit group – they have shared everything, including girlfriends!Every other year the joke was that they just “switched” who was dating whom and still stayed in the circle. It was a real “Leave it to Beaver” type of hometown back when towns were innocent and safe.
Anyway – Because I am lucky enough to be married to one of the most popular guys of the group, I have reaped the benefits of their friendships, just as if I had gone to school with them. How cool is that?
So, Although I am going to miss “Saturday Night’s Blog Party”(I will get back to you all) and I will be thinking of you as we dance to this oldie – “Tequila” by the Champsand many many more before the evening is done.Later…“Party On”
