 My Love to You All

Happy Mother's Day

May you all have a wonderful week and be aware of all the blessing you have be given in your lifetime.

Have you ever just stopped and counted how many blessings you have - I sure have and I am enjoying many of them right now.

Take care, my friends, and know you are loved - by me, and by God.

And, to my Hubby, whom I know is reading this, I love and miss you so much and count you as my #1 blessing in life.  See you in my dreams, until I can squeeze you again!

Love & Kisses - Lookin'

A sweet Vacation with the Grandkids

This Saturday, I am off to visit my Son, his wife and my Grandkids that live in Pennsylvania.  Actually, my Son and daughter-in-law are going to Maui and I will get to baby-sit my Grandkids.I have four there (2 girls and 2 boys)   – a 5, 7, 19 and a 20 year old. I have never met the 20 year old because we just found out 4 months ago that she even existed.  She has lived most of her life in another state and now resides about 20 miles away. I will be in “hog heaven” just being in their presents and spoiling them rotten like only this “Gramma” can do.

As far as my new Granddaughter (the 20 yr. old) - My Son is her Father, but was never told that she was his child.  It was told that she belonged to another man.  We now know differently and all the DNA tests are done and we are all on board with making up for lost time and thrilled to death for the chance to get to know her. How they actually found each other is another story that I will write about someday. For now, it is just exciting that my Son found her.   She and I have talked, but never met – so this trip is filled with wonderful possibilities regarding that meeting, along with seeing the other kids to boot.  Everyone loves her and I just can’t wait to see her and squeeze all of them like only  “Gramma’s can do” and can get away with because we are Gramma’s!

I have full intentions of spoiling them all and loving every guilty minute of it.  I will be throwing in some of my special cooking too, every sweet thing I can think of from cakes, cookies, to brownies and fudge.  It is death to the diets for a few days, along with great dinners and French toast for breakfast.  Oh ya – I am so looking forward to just playing “Paula Deen” in the kitchen.  Yum, yum, yum.

So guys – even though I will miss you all terribly I will be enjoying every minute of the next 3 weeks.  I will try to catch you during our “Saturday Night Blog Parties” but I can’t promise anything yet.  So just in case – I miss the fun – please think of me and know that I am having the time of my life doing all the “Gramma” stuff and making up time for all the missed hugs and kisses since we were together.

I will fill you all in when I get back with everything that happened and I will try to post comments to keep in touch.  God bless you all –-- till I return after the 22nd of May.

Thank you Jesus for all the blessings you have given me, for all my 12 Grandkids and for all that I know is in store for the future that is wrapped in love – Amen.

 A Weekend Visit with Brother

I have had a very busy weekend visiting with my Brother.  It was awesome spending some time together and catching up on all the gossip since we last saw each other almost a year ago.

It seems, as we grow older, and hopefully wiser, we have less and less squabbles and laugh more about good times spent together.  Life has a way of teaching you what is valuable and what is not.

The kid-like bickering is a big “not” and what is important is the fact that as adults we are allowing each other to be different with an appreciation of that difference.  We are at that stage of life where it is wonderful to just “eat-drink and be merry.”  You may ask why and I say, “Because we have chosen to put childish things aside and we are honoring each other for just ‘being’ there and surviving the obstacles we have faced.  Good, bad, or indifferent – we have made the most of what we had to work with and come out on the other side of the mountain with a smile on our face.

Praise God for another small miracle, a Sister and a Brother who after all the fights of childhood  - Still love each other and made it through dinner without a “food fight” - Oh yes, "Life is good and getting better and better".

 Lucy's Sick

LUCY IS SICK and feeling awful

You can click HERE and wish her well

She is our Rock so let's get her back on her feet.

I am asking each of you for some Prayer Power – and I know we can do it – she is suffering with allergies and has no voice and really lost all her energy.  She has been down for a few days but didn’t let me know until today.

So Come on everyone  - We all love LUCY – So, Call on your “higher power” – and lets put our prayers together for her – as she is always there for us.
