I don’t know if it a promise of things to come or what – but yesterday Boise got it’s first snow fall.  That’s right Snow on the 9th of October – and it was the first time since 1898 that it snowed that early – We set a Record!

Of course it didn’t stay for long but we actually got 1.75 inches and the flakes were as big as Silver Dollars.  I must say it was beautiful to watch – I tried to get a picture of it falling but my camera would not cooperate. We kind of sit in a bowl with mountains all around and now they are covered with snow and they just look fantastic. It's cold almost 20 degrees below normal - so I know it will change in a few days - but for now I can just enjoy the beauty.

Anyway – I want to wish you all a Wonderful and Happy Fall.  I am so ready for the cider and pumpkin pie and the kiddies “trick 0r treating” and the magic of costumes.   Fun fun fun

 Reba & Kelly Concert

We went to a Reba McIntire & Kelly Clarkson concert last night at the “taco bell arena” here at Boise State. Center Stage lodge seats and couldn’t have been in a more perfect position.

I can’t tell you how fantastic it was – because you would have had to hear it to believe it.  No costumes – just out and out superb vocals and band participation.

It started with Melisa Peterman, the lady that plays “Barbara jean” on the Reba show, with such a funny “clean” comedic routine – which later she carried on stage and even got into the act of singing with them – Awesome

Then the performance of a life time seeing Kelly back up Reba’s song and sing harmony and Reba backing up Kelly singing harmony to her songs.  Each lady held her own individually but completely complimenting the other’s performance also.

If you get a chance to see these two ladies in your area – treat yourself to an evening of just pure pleasure – Go.

This is just one of the songs they sang that had everyone on their feet –  and a clip of “Barbara Jean” just to see how funny she can be.

Watch out for the Big Bad Wolf -

Hi Guys,

I have been thinking about several things lately regarding people who lie and deceive while preying on your emotions.  Mostly, about people who in their lives have become really good at lying.  Don’t get me wrong, we all tend to spread “little white lies” every now and then to protect someone’s feelings, that’s just a fact. I am not talking about “little white lies” – I’m talking about down right big lies by people and total deceptions -  A planned out thought by someone to deceive.

There are lies of commission and lies of omission.  Depending on how these lies are used against you they can really add up to a mountain of lies and deceptions that can tear you apart and really hurt you more than physically.  Can you relate to being hurt by a liar?

In life we can talk to people face to face and have their body gestures and eye movement to help us acknowledge if they are a truthful or dishonest person.  Yet here on the old Blog Stream we have neither the ability to see either of those things…are you getting my point?   There are all types of studied information that can actually predict, very accurately, when a person is lying – but the odds drop dramatically when you are not actually seeing that person. One typical study is  HERE   just to make my point, and there are so many that not only talk about eye movement, body language but even go so far as to pace a persons breathing in detecting lies.  I have taken extensive classes because of work related issues – just so that I could actually know what people were thinking and to help me in determining what they were actually saying.  This was so important when working with doctors and setting up surgery schedules, as I have done.  This “inside” information is extremely valuable, especially when their likes and fears where discussed.  I found often that even when they said, “No I don’t have a fear about that” – it was very obvious that some of them indeed “Did have a major fear” and just were not expressing it.   This was also valuable information while I was in my real estate as it helped to guide me as to what they were really thinking.  Get the idea?

My point is this – We don’t get the advantage of seeing a person face to face here on the stream.  We believe a blogger is who they say they are – based on information we have been given by “their word”.    Our choice as bloggers is to believe the “who and what” that we are told or be aware that the “who and what” of a person is not what is being told. -We can be duped into possible hurtful circumstances if we trust them and fall victims to their lies and unseen motives.   It is really very scary to openly take anyone at their word as "what" they say they are without a little time for them to prove themselves out.

How do we know if what our “fellow bloggers” say isn’t a lie – Bottom line is -- We don’t. It’s as simple as that – we really don’t know who they are in reality. I have met several wonderful people here on this stream, that have turned out to be what they say they are.  But, I have met and had the heartaches of dealing with several liars who knew they were lying but enjoyed the deception.  People who deceive you by telling you they are “one person” and then you eventually find out that they have created a total fantasy persona can really take advantage of you.  That is the type of person who can hurt you if you are foolish enough to “trust” and except people just by their TYPED WORD.

So – what are we to do – My Motherly advice – Be cautious – this is a world different from the real world of actual people – This really is a “make believe” world.  So take it as that kind of a world, a -  “Disneyland in type” world.  You never know when a nice guy just might be a nasty monster in disguise.  They could be - A pirate, a bad guy, an evil genie, a wicked step-mother, in fact they could be just someone who lacks integrity - "A BIG Bad Wolf".  You get the idea -  Be careful – and don’t give out you personal information so swiftly – I have and I have regretted it.  Act as if you are protecting yourself from “identity theft”. …Because in a way you are.

You know who you are – You don’t know anything else for sure – Nothing.   Now enjoy yourself on the playground of “fantasy land

Love ya - Lookin'

 Waiting on a Woman

We went to McCall, and Cascade and several other little towns a couple of hours from Boise, ID – they are beautiful high mountain areas.  The pines are tall, green and huge.  The Payette Lake at McCall and the Payette river running down the mountain we were climbing was gorgeous.  If you ever want a fantastic fishing area ..this is it!.   I will post pictures as soon as I get the CD developed.

Brad Paisley is outstanding in writing and singing his songs.  If you haven’t seen this video – you have missed a special event with him and Andy Griffith.  My hubby now says this is his theme song, since we are doing a lot of “little shop” treasure hunts. (just click on arrow)

Take care my friends.

May God walk with you.  Lookin’ Waiting On A Woman - Brad Paisley

 I Believe

A birth certificate shows that we were born.  A Death Certificate shows that we died.  Pictures show that we lived!

I Believe...
That just because two people argue, it doesn't mean they don't love each other.
And just because they don't argue, it doesn't mean they do love each other.

I Believe...
That we don't have to change friends if we understand that friends change.

I Believe...
That no matter how good a friend is they're going to hurt you every once in a while and you must forgive them for that.

I Believe...
That true friendship continues to grow, even over the longest  distance.
Same goes for true love.

I Believe...
That you can do something in an instant that will give you heartache for life.

I Believe...
That it's taking me a long time to become the person I want to be.

I Believe..
That you should always leave loved ones with loving words.
It may be the last time you see them.

I Believe..
That you can keep going long after you think you can't.

I Believe...
That we are responsible for what we do, no matter how we feel.

I Believe...
That either you control your attitude or it controls you.

I Believe...
That heroes are the people who do what has to be done when it needs to be
Done, regardless of the consequences.

I Believe...
That money is a lousy way of keeping score.

I Believe...
That my best friend and I can do anything or nothing and have the best time.

I Believe...
That sometimes the people you expect to kick you when you're down will be the ones to help you get back up.

I Believe...
That sometimes when I'm angry I have the right to be angry,  but that
Doesn't give me the right to be cruel.

I Believe...
That maturity has more to do with what types of experiences  you've had
And what you've learned from them and less to do with how many birthdays You've celebrated.

I Believe...
That it isn't always enough to be forgiven by others. Sometimes, you have To learn to forgive yourself.

I Believe..
That no matter how bad your heart is broken the world doesn't stop for
Your grief.

I Believe...
That our background and circumstances may have influenced who we are, but We are responsible for whom we become.

I Believe...
That you shouldn't be so eager to find out a secret. It could change your
Life Forever.

I Believe...
That your life can be changed in a matter of hours by people who don't
Even know you.

I Believe...
That even when you think you have no more to give, when a friend cries  out To you - you will find the strength to help.

I Believe...
That credentials on the wall does not make you a decent human being.

I Believe...
That the people you Care about most in life are taken from you too soon.
