Kids - say the darnest things...

WHAT ARE YOU IN FOR?

Two little kids are in a hospital, lying on stretchers next to each other outside the operating room---the first surgeries of the day.

The first kid leans over and asks, "What are you in here for?"
The second kid says, "I'm in here to get my tonsils out and I'm a little nervous."

The first kid says, "You've got nothing to worry about. I had that done when I was four. They put you to sleep, and when you wake up they give you lots of Jell-O and Ice Cream. It's a breeze."

The second kid then asks, "What are you here for?"

The first kid says, "A circumcision."

Whoa!" the second kid replies. "Good luck buddy. I had that done when I was born. Couldn't walk for a year."

 Comfort

Angel

(Today I am thinking of my Sister and I am praying that she has found her happiness "In the arms of an Angel")

Spend all your time waiting for that second chance
For the break that will make it ok
There's always some reason to feel not good enough
And it's hard at the end of the day
I need some distraction oh beautiful release
Memories seep from my veins
They may be empty and weightless and maybe
I'll find some peace tonight

In the arms of an Angel fly away from here
From this dark, cold hotel room, and the endlessness that you fear
You are pulled from the wreckage of your silent reverie
You're in the arms of an Angel; may you find some comfort here

So tired of the straight line, and everywhere you turn
There's vultures and thieves at your back
The storm keeps on twisting, you keep on building the lies
That you make up for all that you lack
It don't make no difference, escaping one last time
It's easier to believe
In this sweet madness, oh this glorious sadness
That brings me to my knees

In the arms of an Angel far away from here
From this dark, cold hotel room, and the endlessness that you fear
You are pulled from the wreckage of your silent reverie
In the arms of an Angel; may you find some comfort here

You're in the arms of an Angel; may you find some comfort here

 God's Armor

When we face obstacles we don’t understand – we must trust in the Lord our God and lean not on our own understanding but prepare ourselves as instructed below.

The Armor of God
 (Ephesians 6:1-20 (New International Version)

10) Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.

11) Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes.

12) For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

13) Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.

14) Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place,

15) and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.

16) In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.

17) Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

18) And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.

 19) Pray also for me, that whenever I open my mouth, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel,

20) for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should.

Amen

 Don't laugh - - Please don't laugh

I can remember growing up and my Dad saying “If you laugh – you’re gonna get a whippin”

That was a guarantee that I was gonna laugh…
